Axial Fan Daily Maintenance and Care Tips

2021-11-12

I. Regular Cleaning and Inspection
• Blade and Air Duct Cleaning
Monthly, remove dust buildup from blades and debris from air ducts to prevent airflow blockages that could reduce efficiency (mine ventilation fans require weekly cleaning).
Gently wipe the leaves with a soft brush or cloth, avoiding hard objects that could scratch the surface.
• Structural Integrity Check
Check weekly whether the mounting bolts, motor connectors, and protective nets are loose.
Regularly verify that the gap between the blades and the fan housing is normal (recommended for industrial settings: bi-weekly inspection).

2. Operational Monitoring and Fault Management
• Emergency Handling for Abnormal Conditions
Immediately stop the machine and cut off power when encountering abnormal noise, motor overheating, or tripping; live repairs are strictly prohibited.
After maintenance, perform a no-load trial run for at least 5 minutes, and only restart if no abnormalities are detected.
• Performance Parameter Monitoring
Regularly test airflow, noise levels, and power consumption; if deviations from baseline values exceed 10%, adjustments are required.

3. Lubrication System Maintenance

Location Operating Procedures Cycle
Bearing Fill cavity with ZL-3 lithium-based grease to 1/3 of its capacity. 1000 hours/time
Transmission components Check belt tension and remove oil stains to prevent slippage. Quarterly
Valve mechanism Lubricating oil is dripped onto the spindle end, while the threaded hole is lubricated simultaneously. Monthly

4. Environment and Storage Management
Operating environment: Maintain ventilation and dry conditions, with dust concentration ≤150 mg/m³ (in explosion-proof environments, the concentration must not exceed the safety threshold).
Shutdown storage: Store in a dry environment, cover outdoor equipment with a rainproof cover, and ensure motors are sealed for moisture protection.

5. Professional Maintenance Requirements
• Periodic Deep Maintenance
Annual Overhaul: Clean Bearings, Replace Seals, and Recalibrate Impeller Balancing
Mining and fire-fighting fans: Inspect the anti-corrosion coating and the integrity of the explosion-proof structure every six months.
• Special Scenario Add-ons
Chemical Environment: 304 Stainless Steel Impeller + Nano-Coating, Quarterly Corrosion Inspection
High-temperature scenarios: Replenish with high-temperature grease (≥260°C) monthly.
